Bence & Grandfather

Bence is following the artistic path of his grandfather painter, Blaskó János.He lived and worked in the 13th district of Budapest. He graduated from the College of Fine Arts in 1942 with masters Oszkár Glatz and Rezső Burghardt. He went on study trips to Italy and Germany. Between the 60s and 80s he was a teacher at the University of Esterházy Károly, Teacher Training College and later headed the Drawing Department. He brought up prominent representatives of the Hungarian artist and teacher generations. His memory is preserved on an embossed plaque on the wall of the studio house in Máglya Street 3, Budapest. Bence Blaskó was born in Budapest on June 14, 1988. He studied at the Gés Foundation Grammar School and Vocational School, where he dealt with also fine arts, too. In 2010, he passed the graduation exam. He continued his studies at the Óbuda Kalászi Street Vocational School of Fine Arts, majoring in graphic design. Since 2014, he has been dealing with painting, graphics and sculpture in the adult education programs of the Buda School of Drawing. He attends regular classes at the Matató Bookbinding Workshop in Budavár, where he creates unique works from paper under the leadership of Zsófia Cholnoky. www.blaskobence.hu
